Bowerman Elementary, 2148 N. Douglas
Our purpose for hosting this event is to provide the opportunity to increase our members’ understanding of the democratic process and the issues affecting children and schools.
All elected officials representing the school district will be invited. Please help by talking to your elected official(s) and asking them to attend.
This will be a question and answer forum, not a debate. Each panelist will be given equal time to present his or her view on the issues discussed. We have at least one prepared question and then we will take questions from the audience as time permits.
We will allow for a 3-minute opening and 3 minutes for panelists to answer each question. A time keeper will be assigned to give a 1 minute, 30 second and time reminder.
Possible questions:
- What is the most important issue that is currently being debated (either in Jefferson City or on Capitol Hill) that you feel will have the most impact on our public schools?
- We have significant fiscal challenges in both the federal government and state government. What are your budget priorities and how will they impact our schools?
