Goals and Priorities

Springfield Council of PTAs focuses its work on strengthening local PTAs and advancing family engagement across Springfield Public Schools. Our current priorities include:

• Supporting strong local PTAs by providing leadership development, guidance, and opportunities for collaboration
• Growing PTA membership to ensure more families have a voice in their school communities
• Amplifying student and family voices through programs, advocacy, and district-wide initiatives
• Meeting basic needs and supporting student well-being, including continued support of the PTA Clothing Bank
• Building meaningful partnerships with schools, community organizations, and state and national PTA
• Supporting district-wide family engagement efforts by collaborating with Springfield Public Schools on initiatives that strengthen relationships between families and schools
• Connecting families to district leadership by identifying and supporting parent volunteers to serve on school and community committees, including those focused on safety, nutrition, and the academic calendar

These priorities guide SCPTA’s decisions, initiatives, and use of resources each year.
