What is the PTA Clothing Bank?

The PTA Clothing Bank is a free clothing resource for students enrolled in Springfield Public Schools. It provides essential clothing so students can attend school with comfort, confidence, and dignity.

What do I need to shop for my student?

A student ID or lunch number is required at check-in so we can serve students appropriately. A parent or guardian may shop for clothing on behalf of a student.

For shoes, the Kiwanis Shoe Bank requires the student to be present for fitting.

Who runs the PTA Clothing Bank?

The PTA Clothing Bank is operated by the Springfield Council of PTAs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and is staffed entirely by volunteers. The program is funded through monetary and clothing donations, with 100% of donations used to support students. Springfield Public Schools provides the space at no cost.

The Kiwanis Shoe Bank partners with the PTA Clothing Bank to provide shoes for students.

Where is the PTA Clothing Bank located?

The PTA Clothing Bank is located at 2343 W. Olive Street, Springfield, MO 65802, inside the Study Alternative Center

The entrance is on the northeast (back) side of the building—look for the double doors labeled #13 with a PTA Clothing Bank sign.

When is the PTA Clothing Bank open?

The Clothing Bank is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on select Thursdays during the school year.

The Kiwanis Shoe Bank is open from 1:30–4:30 p.m. on all Clothing Bank shopping days, with extended hours during back-to-school events.

The PTA Clothing Bank follows the Springfield Public Schools calendar and is closed on school holidays and snow days.

How can I stay up to date on donation needs and schedule changes?

The best way to stay informed is by following the PTA Clothing Bank on Facebook, where updates about shopping dates, closures, and donation needs are shared.

We follow the Springfield Public Schools schedule, so if the system is closed for a holiday or snow day, then so are we.
