Question: Will you send us an invoice for our Council Dues?

Answer: No, we will not send an invoice. Please use this form to submit dues and donations to Springfield Council of PTAs. Keep a copy for your treasurer’s records.

Question: My unit’s bylaws are due this year, what do I do?

First, request sample unit bylaws from Missouri PTA (office1@mopta.org). You can also ask Missouri PTA to send your unit’s most recent bylaws so that you have the copy they have. Next, review the sample bylaws # articles and sections for the things that need to be included in your bylaws verbatim. Make sure these required articles and sections have been incorporated into your bylaws exactly as written in the MOPTA sample bylaws. If those are the only changes you need to make, you are done. Submit your updated bylaws to MOPTA ( verbatim Articles and sections (#) don’t need approval by your Executive Committee and Membership, but it’s a good idea to let them know what the changes are).

After you’ve update your bylaws with the specific requirements and you want to make amendments, you may do so at any time. You do not have to wait for a review date. It’s a good idea to have a Bylaws committee review your current bylaws and make any necessary changes. If something no longer works for your unit, change it. It’s a good idea to highlight the areas that you are changing, strike through what you are taking out and change the font to red anything you are adding. Once amendments are approved by your Membership, send them to Missouri PTA.
